Plot[]

Peter Gambi makes some modifications to the Black Lightning suit, allowing Jefferson Pierce to fly. However, the modifications make Jefferson start to suffer from headaches.

Tobias Whale visits Gambi, looking to discover the identity of Black Lightning. Gambi reminds Tobias they had a deal and Tobias is breaking it by coming to his shop, He also tells him that he has no idea who Black Lightning is. Continuing to track Green Light, Jefferson finds that Joey Toledo is dealing it

Jennifer Pierce gets into a fight at a skating rink, resulting in her breaking the wrist of a girl named Lana. Lana's family is understandably angry and Jefferson and Lynn take responsibility but are nonetheless impressed by Jennifer's actions.

Tori encourages Tobias to finally deal with their abusive father, Eldridge. Tobias breaks his back and leaves him to die.

While researching the origin of her powers, Anissa Pierce finds that her grandfather Alvin Pierce worked on a story involving missing teenagers that was later buried by the newspaper. Alvin was murdered a week later. Anissa visits the editor of the paper. Initially he refuses to tell her anything, claiming "they" are still watching. Eventually, he gives Anissa files and she finds an old storage locker filled with her grandfather's research.

Inspector Bill Henderson tips Jefferson off to Joey Toledo's location and he heads to confront him. Jefferson is incapacitated by another headache during the fight, allowing Toledo to escape and vowing that Tobias Whale will kill him.
